For over a millennium, the intricate knotwork and
minute decoration of Celtic art and calligraphy have enchanted the
world. Celtic artist Michael Carroll continues in the tradition of
the 8th century monks, creating brand-new yet classically ancient
designs.
The symbols
and motifs used in Celtic art are often ancient, but each artist
brings a fresh voice to
their interpretation and new designs are not only possible, but
inevitable. We
invite you to view Michael's original designs, learn about the artist
himself, order Celtic prints, and find
out more about the ancient monks and their art.
We hope you find this website informative, interesting, and
enlightening . . . if you have any questions, comments, or ideas
you'd like to share, please email us as we'd like to hear from
you...Enjoy!

American Celtic 10th Anniversary
Reunion 2011
With
their uniquely American perspective, artists Cindy Matyi, Steve
O'Loughlin, Jen Delyth, Michael Carroll and Patrick Gallagher use
their Celtic art skills to reflect spiritual, social and
interactive life at the turn of the millennium. Expressing
the realities and conundrums of modern life through the
indirectness of symbols, these artists somehow
"interlace" several thousand years of humanity together
in an intuitive way. Without
exception, the reaction to their work has been an unqualified
acceptance and sense of wonder.
From
2000-2002 the American Celtic exhibition toured the US providing
art lovers nationwide a glimpse of the richness of the Celtic
tradition. Now they're back for their 10th Anniversary Reunion tour.
